INCLUSION POLICY OF THE TEATRO DEL BICENTENARIO<\/h3>\n\n\t\t<\/div> \n\t<\/div>

With the purpose of:
\n\u2022Raising awareness about the importance of recognizing the rights of disabled people;
\n\u2022Promoting the rights of disabled people through participation and exchange with the community, \nThe Teatro del Bicentenario, depending on the Ministry of Tourism and Culture, establishes an inclusion policy aiming to promote more participation and integration of disabled people in cultural expressions and events. The Theater tries to facilitate access to performances and events to favor a better social insertion and a more complete development of the abilities of disabled people to foster their social development.
\nThe Theater has 12 seats, which are free of charge, for disabled people, scattered around strategic places of the main hall:
\n1. Capacity for six wheelchairs in the main floor and the ground floor box. These locations were recommended by the local Firemen since placing wheelchairs in the middle or high boxes can be a hazard in case of emergency.
\n2. Capacity for six seats for physical impairments that do not require a wheelchair.
\n3. Any person with a disability certificate that wants to go to the Theater should make the request once the performance is announced. This will facilitate the internal procedures and assign a seat accordingly.
\n4. This initiative requires the presentation of the corresponding disability certificate when buying the tickets in order to enjoy the benefits offered. Such ticket will be personal and non-transferable.
\n5. Any person who has a valid disability certificate will have free access to any public performance \u2013cultural, musical or any other- organized by the Theater and sponsored by the Provincial State, as long as the corresponding special seats are available.
\n6. The companion of the disabled person must pay the full price of the ticket for each performance.
\n7. These tickets must be requested, at least, 48 hours before to the performance. Consequently, the external organizers must assign the 12 special seats.
\n8. Once the compulsory period of time mentioned in the previous section passed, the remaining tickets can be sold normally.<\/p>\n\n\t\t<\/div> \n\t<\/div> <\/div><\/div><\/div>

In order to let the public and visitors that come to the Theater have a very special experience, the Teatro del Bicentenario is about to obtain the \u201cDirectrices de Accesibilidad\u201d certification (Accessibility Guidelines) issued by the Ministry of Tourism of the Nation within the framework of the Program \u201cTurismo Accesible\u201d (Accessible Tourism) carried out by the Secretary of Tourism of the province.
\nIn this context, the Theater together with Biblioteca Popular Sur worked to include the Braille system and a QR Code in the Theater\u2019s brochures to facilitate access to blind people and to any person who wants to have the brochure content in audio. The QR Code is scanned by any electronic device, QR reader, tablet or mobile phone with a program installed. Once the code is scanned, the person is redirected to the Theater\u2019s web site where the audio is offered. In this way, the information is available in real time, fostering the independence of the user. In addition, haptic or tactile maps are available for blind or visually impaired people.
